Matilda Guidry

Matilda Jane “Janie” Guidry, 64, of Stanfield, NC, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Guidry was born November 13, 1946, in Bartlett, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Guidry; father, John Taisler, Jr.; mother, Matilda Bertha Schwertner Taisler; and brothers, Henry and Richard Taisler. She was a teacher assistant at Oakboro School for many years. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 17, 5 – 7 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m., Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, officiated by Rev. Reese Linnell. Survivors include sons, Larry Wayne Guidry, II, of Charlotte and James Thomas Guidry and wife, Jenny, of Stanfield; daughter, Katherine Jane Guidry of Temple, Texas, brothers Ben Taisler and wife, Alice, Jesse Taisler, and Jimmy Taisler and wife, Darlene, all of Texas; and grandson, Douglas James Guidry of Stanfield.
