Matthew Sasser

Matthew Alden Sasser, 48 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.
Matt was born May 15, 1968 in Stanly County to Nannette Sides Sasser and the late Dennie Alvin Sassesr Jr. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa Sasser and infant Johnnie Adell Sasser.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, June 10, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home. The funeral service, preceded by a 30 minute state, will be on Saturday at 11:00 am at Faith Freewill Baptist Church in New London officiated by Rev Wayne Eudy, Rev.Kevin Munson, and Rev. Phillip Martin. Burial will follow at the Faith Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include his loving wife of eight years, Cynthia Marlana Sasser of Albemarle; his mother, Nannette Sasser of Albemarle; daughters, Allison (Jesse) Wensil and Lisa (Darrren) Goodman, both of Albemarle, and Madilyn Sasser of the home; grandchildren, Lane and Luke Wensil and Dennie Goodman; two brothers, Mike (Cindy) Sasser and Mark Sasser, both of New London; special friend, Ron Chandler of New London; and numerous nieces.
