Mattie Taylor

Mattie Diane Miller Taylor, age 60, of Albemarle, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at CMC-Main in Charlotte. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 6 PM to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel at 4 PM. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery. At other times the family will be meeting at her home. Mattie was born in Albemarle on February 6, 1952, to the late Mavion Reece Miller and Mattie Ruth Page Miller of Albemarle. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Darrell Lane Taylor of the home; two daughters, Tanya Almond and husband Dale of Albemarle, Tammy Ricketts of Albemarle; a son, Steve Taylor and wife Kirby of Lexington; five grandchildren, Mylia Taylor of Albemarle, Myranda Ricketts of Albemarle, Alston Taylor of Lexington, Timothy Almond of Albemarle, and Zackery Almond of Albemarle.
