Box 7 Albemarle, NC 28002 704-983-1188 Maureen Elaine Mallard Parker age 59 of 480 Ashley Allen Circle, Polkton, NC passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at Anson Community Hospital. She was born December 11, 1950 in Brunswick, Ga. She was a medical assistant and a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Anson County and also a member of the Burnsville Fire and Rescue Auxiliary. She was a strong and caring mother and a lively outgoing person. She loved her garden, flowers and enjoyed working with the soil. She was a loyal companion, wife and friend who will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Archibald Baggs Mallard and mother Alice Elaine Bradshaw Mallard. Visitation will be Friday, April 23 from 1-3 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, of the Burnsville community. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Rev. George Hunnicutt, Pastor officiating. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Allen Parker of the home; sons, Chris Parker of Denton, Texas, Eric Adams of Louisville, KY, Daniel Parker of Virginia Beach, VA, Andrew Parker of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Serenity Kines of Loganville, GA, Melanie Adams-Borgen of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Bradshaw Mallard, Bruce Mallard and Rodger Mallard, and three grandchildren.
