Concord

Maurice Delma Brinson, Jr. 77, of Concord, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at First Assembly Living Center in Concord, NC.

Mr. Brinson was born November 8, 1942 in Farmville, North Carolina to the late Maurice Delma Brinson and the late Doris Talton Brinson.

Affectionately known by everyone as “Moose”, our brother loved and lived music his entire life.  Using butter knives and lampshades as his first childhood drum set, his music career began at a very early age. The second oldest of five brothers, he was the ringleader of countless escapades and adventures that provide fond memories his siblings will never forget.

He ended his musical career playing bass guitar and singing Beach music, Country music, and Southern Rock in his band appropriately named “Moose and Company”.

Final disposition will follow at the Hartsell Funeral Home Crematory at 13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC.

Survivors include brother, Paul Francis Brinson of Concord, NC, brother, Jerry Wallace Brinson of Morehead City, NC,  brother Leonard Elton Ballard of Wilmington, NC and brother Ronald David Brinson of Goldsboro, NC.
