Mclain Furr

McLain Love Furr, 96, of Stanfield, NC, passed away September 11, 2009. She was born July 5, 1913 in Stanly County to the late Wade Hampton Love and Ona Belle Barbee Love. Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2009, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.,at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at Love's Chapel United Methodist Church. Revs. Luci Blizzard, Leslee Wray and Bruce League will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a postmaster in Stanfield for many years and a member of Love's Chapel United Methodist Church in Stanfield. She is survived by son, Douglas L. Furr and wife, Connie of Stanfield; daughter, Patricia Duncan and husband, Ed, of Stuart, Florida; grandchildren, Lindsay McLain Smith and husband, Jonathan, Samatha Furr, Pamela Duncan, Amy Eversmeyer and husband, Jeff, and Mike Duncan and wife, LeAnna; and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Furr; two sisters; and six brothers.
