Melisa Gardner-Mullis

Melisa Lynn Gardner-Mullis, 34 of Locust, NC, was ushered into her heavenly home on Wednesday night, Feb 12th, 2014 after her construction on earth was complete.
She was born on September 28, 1979 in Charlotte, NC and lived the rest of her life at a full gallop.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be Monday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be officiated by Pastor Michael Cannon. Burial will follow in the Locust Presbyterian Cemetery.
She will be remembered for her bright, stoic personality and take charge style.
Melisa was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece, granddaughter and friend.
Melisa was a member of Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church. Melisa worked at Carolina's Health Care - Union.
She leaves behind a loving husband, Sherwood Mullis; two wonderful sons, Kirby and Cole; her father and mother A.P. "Perry" and Kathy Gardner; brother Andrew (Laura) Gardner; two nephews Curtis Gardner and Austin Mullis; grandparents, Bud and Shirley Kluttz; two aunts, Jane (Horace) Williams, and Deborah (Martin) Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Stacy and Tammy Mullis; and brother-in-law, Jeremy Mullis.
Melisa will be missed beyond what words can express but her legacy will live on in her two young sons and the lives of those she touched.
