Melissa Linker

Melissa Dawn Whaley Linker, 48, of Concord, NC passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.

Melissa "Miss" was born October 5, 1972 in New Martinsville, WV to the late Thomas "Pete" Whaley & the late Betty Brown Whaley.  She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Doyle & Merle Brown, & Jeryl & Eleanor Whaley; son, Timothy Alan Hayes, III; & son-in-law Bradley Benton.

"Miss" leaves behind her husband, Jason Eugene Linker; daughters, Corissa & Ryan Linker, Leslie Benton; sons, Christian Linker & Jacob Linker; & sister, Diana & Dave Palmer; grandchildren, Rylan, Brenlee, Jaxson, Emmy, Timothy IV, Macie, Caroline & Brystal; nieces, Kellie & Ben Roberts; Ashley & Danny Thomas; Lindsey & Zack Watson; & Morgan Palmer; great nieces, Bailee, Brooke & Gabbie Roberts; Hadleigh Watson; great nephews, Cruz & Coen Thomas.
Melissa was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God.  She loved her grandchildren dearly and spending time with family & friends.  "Miss" will be truly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord officiated by Pastor Gary Bragg.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
