Melissia Barnhardt

Melissia Janie Barnhardt, 89, of Concord, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born November 24, 1928 in Union County to the late William Henry Love and the late Oscie Helms Love.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Martin Homer Barnhardt; son-in-law, Michael Ray Hartsell; and grandson Matthew Carpenter.  She loved her God, family, her church, gardening, cooking, and her flowers.  She was a wonderful mother.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 3:00 pm at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Rev. Roger Bostic, and preceded by a  30 minute state. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Survivors include daughter, Frances Hartsell of Concord, NC; son, David (Sharon) Barnhardt of Concord, NC; son, Gary (Angie) Barnhardt of Concord, NC; son, Robin Love of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Richard Hartsell, Marty (Lauren) Barnhardt, Richard (Melissa) Barnhardt, Ashley (Doug) Plant, Lyn Barnhardt, Lora (Greg) Gensheimer, Candie (Robert) Honeycutt, Lee (Ruth) Deaton, Tiffany Love, Breeana Love, & Kayley Love; 21 great-grandchildren, & one great-great-grandchild.
