Michael David Artuso

Michael David Artuso, 64, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Michael was born September 10, 1960 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Albert Ernest Artuso and Jean Artuso. 

Mike graduated from LaSalle Senior High School, Niagara Falls, NY in 1978 and continued his education at Suny Brockport University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. 

He was an outstanding athlete in basketball and baseball and enjoyed playing billiards and golf throughout his life. 

Mike worked for US Customs and later began a career as a Fiber Optics Technician in Seattle, Washington. 

In 2004 he moved to Harrisburg, NC. Where he spent most his time with family and his best friend and companion Benji, his faithful Springer Spaniel.

He is survived by his mother Jean Artuso, brothers: Stephen A Artuso (Debbie) of Naples, FL, and Victor P. Artuso (Vikki) of Harrisburg; Donna L Artuso of Harrisburg and several nieces and nephews; Anita Jones, Jennifer Patrick, Alyssa Isajiw, Joshua Artuso, Marisa Artuso, Nick Artuso, Nathan Morris, Brantley Anderson, and Carson and Nora Jones.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg officiated by Rev. Scott Davis. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg at 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte.
