Michael Board

Michael Lindsey Board, 60 years of age, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System Main in Charlotte.

Michael was born September 11, 1957 in Kentucky to and Linzy Overton Board and Jackie Levirne Craig

Mike loved spending time with his family and friends and loved taking motorcycle trips with his father-in-law. Mike showed no difference in any blended family member. He treated them all like blood. He loved to grow the greenest grass in the neighborhood. Only thing bigger than his mouth was his heart.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018 at Rocky River Church, 887 Pitts School Road, SW, Concord, NC  28027. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. officiated by Pastor Donnie Icenhour. Burial will follow at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery at 1743 Chase High Road, Forest City at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Survivors include wife, Paula Board of Harrisburg, NC; mother, Jackie Lynn Fry of Shelbyville, KY; children, Shawn (Amanda) Board of Shelbyville, KY; Lindsay (Jesse) Lancaster of Louisville, KY; Chad (Julia) Grant of Concord, NC; Chris (Alicia) Grant of Harrisburg, NC; sisters, Kathy Hill, Donna Florence, Faye Blair and brother Mark Board; and 10 grandchildren.
