Michael Lewis

Michael Paul Lewis, 82, of Mint Hill, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2023,  at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

Mike was born April 6, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Roy Lewis and the late Bernadine Durette Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Rebecca Biggers Lewis.

The family will receive friends from 10:30am - 11:30am, on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church. The committal service and burial will immediately follow at the Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church Cemetery at 11200 Arlington Church Rd., Charlotte officiated by Rev. Matthew Broadway.

Survivors include brother, Robert Lee Lewis; nieces and nephews, Kandi L.(Kevin) Dubuque, Kamala Lewis, and Robert Lee Lewis, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Liz Biggers; nieces and nephews, Alexis (Brian) Baker, Alice (Kamel) Tejeda, and Ted Biggers, III; and nephew, Paul Whitlock; and sister-in-law, Cathy Biggers.

Mike was a devoted husband to Becky, a car enthusiast, and an animal lover.  He had a natural ease about him and never met a stranger. Working for the city of Mint Hill as a park manager was a perfect fit for him. Mike can be remembered as "solving the world's problems" over a cup of coffee with friends, fixing anything needed, funny and devoted to family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church, 11200 Arlington Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.
