Michael Misskelley

Michael Shawn Misskelley, 57, passed away August 26 at Carolinas Continuous Care in Pineville after a long illness. Mike was born October 15, 1960 to the late Mary Jean Misskelley of Rock Hill, SC.  He was employed at International Minute Press in Charlotte for the past 30 years. He greatly enjoyed his job and especially the friends he worked beside everyday. Each held a special place in his heart.

Survivors include his loving wife and soulmate of 34 years, Cindi Bailey Misskelley, his adored daughter, Krystina Michelle Misskelley and the child who totally owned his heart and brought him joy everyday, his beloved grandson, Lucas Micheal Chase.

Aside from being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Mike was known for his crazy sense of humor, his jokes, and his ability to brighten your day just by being around him. He was a huge Panthers fan, loved to watch The Walking Dead on Sunday nights, and as a huge Star Trek fan. He also loved Classic Rock and he believed there was no better band past or present than RUSH.

He will be greatly missed and loved forever.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 30, from 6-8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC  28075. Services will be private.
