Michael Rose

Michael Lee Rose, 68, of Rockwell, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at his home in Rockwell surrounded by his loving family.

Mike "Papa Rose" was born January 12, 1952 in Kent County, Michigan to the late Ronald Edward Rose and the late Jackolyn Yvonne Runyon Rose.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Webb; as well as a sister at birth.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Rose of the home; son, Chris Rose of China Grove, NC; daughter, Dottie Rose of Temple, TX; daughter, Sandra Cole of Concord, NC; son, John Phelan of Charlotte, NC; step children, Adolphus Lowe, Jr., Tammy Lowe and Jammy Lowe all of Rockwell, NC; grandchildren, Brittanie Lowe Simpson, Baylee Black, Aeris Phelan, Faith Rose, Izabel Phelan, Gavyn Rose and Caileb Rose; brothers, Pat Rose, Tim Rose, Marty Rose and Eddie Rose all of Michigan; several nieces and nephews in Michigan; as well as special friends Lloyd Whitson and family; Curtis, Mary and family; and the church families of Jesus Christ Full Gospel Church, especially the young people and New Life Church of Jesus Christ.

Mike loved his grandbabies first and foremost.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved his Lord.  Mike proudly served nine and half years in the United States Army, and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Mike will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm, on Friday, February 7th, 2020, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8th at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Pastor Michael Hedgecoe.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, with full military honors.
