Michelle Chapman

Michelle Linda Chapman, 50, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte.

Mrs. Chapman was born February 22, 1969 in England to Suzanne Phillips and the late Raymond Phillips.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband Richard of 20 years. They were married in the British Virgin Islands (Cooper Island) on the 17th of March 1999.  She is lovingly remembered by her Sisters, Tanya of Plymouth and Anyta of Perth; her son Ben (19) and daughter Lily (11) of Harrisburg.  Niece Rebecca (18) of Perth.

Michelle graduated from Slough Grammar School and began her career in the banking industry.  She later followed her passion for design and began working for the Electrolux group as a graphic designer. She stayed within the appliance industry for the rest of her UK career holding senior sales and marketing positions. Following the birth of her children Michelle became a highly influential fitness instructor in N. America.

Michelle loved to travel and had an affinity with the ocean. She spent the majority of her time supporting her children in their many endeavors including taekwondo, swimming, baseball, softball and ice hockey. She was also an influential parent and leader in both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and was heavily involved in activities despite her courageous battle with cancer.

The memorial service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Harrisburg on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 3:00 pm.
