Mike Munn

John Michael "Mike" Munn, 71, of Concord, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at The Gardens of Taylor Glen in Concord.

Mike was born December 15, 1948 in Charlotte to the late John McLendon Munn and the late Beulah Mae Autry Munn.

Growing up in Matthews, NC he attended both East Mecklenburg High School (Class of '66) and UNC Charlotte.  He retired as a Senior Estimator from The Shaw Group (previously J.A. Jones) in Charlotte.  His many years at Jones and Shaw allowed him to visit many countries around the world.

Mike was a member of Pitts Baptist Church where he often served as an Usher.  His passions included spending time  with his family, aviation and motorcycles.  He was active in the local aviation community for many years and later an avid motorcycle rider. He was a loving father and grandpa and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include son, Paul Munn and wife, Leslie, of Harrisburg; grandson, Devon Munn; and granddaughter, Kristen Munn.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020 at Pitts Baptist Church, Concord.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Scott Davis.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
