Mildred Barbee

Mildred Lambert Barbee, age 84, of 24455 Helms Road, Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Stanly Manor.

Mildred was born in Stanly County on June 6, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Alexander Barbee; her father and mother, Fetzer Lambert and Lillie Lowder Lambert; and by five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Jan Taylor and husband, Tommy of Wadesboro; a son, Doug Barbee and wife, Susan of Albemarle; grandchildren, Patrick Taylor and wife Sandy of Durham, Brad Taylor and wife Lisa of Wadesboro, Heather Barbee, Jon Barbee and wife Tiffany, and Heidi Barbee Jacobi and husband Nick, all of Albemarle, and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Canton Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mabry officiating. Burial will be at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery, followed by visitation in the Church Fellowship Hall.

The family requests that memorials be made to Canton Baptist Church Building Fund, 24615 Endy Rd., Albemarle, NC 28001, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
