Mildred Hatlestad

Mildred Marie "Millie" Spry Hatlestad, 82, of Concord passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at her home. She was born on June 1, 1928 in Davidson County to the late Savannah Wood and Viola Edwards Spry. Mrs. Hatlestad was also preceded in death by brothers John, Grady, Frank and Paul Spry, and sister Dorothy Coggins. Millie was an accountant with Ronald Overcash Inc. and a graduate of Lexington High School. She enjoyed tole painting and tracing the genealogy of her family history. Entombment service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. A memorial service will follow at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord at 1:00 pm. with Rev. John Spry officiating. A visitation will be held following the service. She is survived by her husband, James Hatlestad of the home; son, Phillip S. Hatlestad of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Carol H. Thompson of Sparks, NV, Celia H. Carter of Wes Corina, CA, Jane H. Reyes of Orange County, CA; sister, Billie S. Allred of Lexington, NC; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
