Mildred Howard

Mildred Marie Howard, 87 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.

Mildred was born June 19, 1928 in Stanly County to the late Titus Simeon Whitley and the late Jenny Smith Whitley.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Johnny William Howard, Sr., son, Johnny William Howard, Jr., four brothers and three sisters,.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, August 14, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Lowell Brown. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery at 32283 Bethlehem Church Road, Norwood.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Steven) Hatley of Norwood, and Vivian (Jasper) Turner of Norwood; three grandchildren, Mitzi (Daron) Webb, Jerrod (Ginger) Hatley, and Michelle (Andy) Boswell; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Hatley, Macey Webb, Abby Hatley, Brooke Boswell, and Meadow Boswell.
