Mildred Larock
March 29, 1937 — July 30, 2017
Mildred Martin LaRock, 80 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 30, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. LaRock was born March 29, 1937 in Cambria County, PA to the late John Martin and the late Mary Woytko Martin . She was also preceded in death by her husband, MAJ William Louis LaRock; a son, Timothy James LaRock; five brothers and two sisters.
Millie was an avid NASCAR fan and a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She supported our country as a wife of a service member for twenty two years. Millie raised four children and all of their friends.
The family will have a private Celebration of Mildred's life at a later date.
Survivors include daughter, Christina Thompson and husband Steven of Oakboro, sons, William LaRock II and his wife Colleen of Oakboro and Mark LaRock of Cocoa. Fl; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
