Mildred Morgan
May 2, 1927 — June 3, 2017
Mildred Marie Hatcher Morgan, 90 years of age, of Concord, NC passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at home with her family by her side.
Mildred was born May 2, 1927 in Gaston County, NC to the late James Monroe Hatcher and the late Clydia B McElroy Hatcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, William Birch Morgan; as well as her sister Myrtle Combs.
Survivors include her son William "Butch" Birch Morgan, Jr.; daughter Karen Morgan Ford and husband Frank "Tink"; granddaughter Angie Ford Stegall and husband Trent; great grandson Cody Stegall; and great granddaughter Madison Stegall and fiance Steven Brown.
Mildred loved to sew and make dresses for special occasions, such as weddings and proms. She enjoyed to cook and bake cakes and pies for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed reading a good mystery. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Monday, June 5, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside funeral service will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Kevin Ford.
