Mildred Rushing

Mildred Jane Tartlon Rushing, 87, of Monroe, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church Rest Home in Monroe.

Mildred was born September 5, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Baxter Columbus Tarlton and the late Nannie Nonie Tarlton.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Raeford Junior Rushing; brothers, Fred Harold Tarlton,  John Junior Tarlton, Ned Washington Tarlton, Boyd Lee Tarlton, and Hoyle Columbus Tarlton; and 2 sisters deceased at birth

A graveside service will be held on Monday 20th of December, at 3pm located at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Joey Query.

Survivors include many beloved family members, too many to list.

Mildred graduated from Fairview High School. She retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company of Concord as a department manager.  Early retirement afforded her many hours of enjoying camping and fishing with family and friends.  Her greatest joy in life was her husband of 67 years.  Mildred will be sorely missed by her family, friends and community.
