Mildred Shaver
January 13, 1939 — February 19, 2015
Mildred Kathleen Shaver, 76 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Mildred was born January 13, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Claude Monroe Smith and the late Viola Victoria Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Shaver.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church in Albemarle officiated by Rev. David Howard and Rev. Mark Little. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.
Survivors include daughter, Monica Shaver (Sidney) Howard of Oakboro; son, Greg (Teresa) Shaver of Locust; son, Ricky (Doris) Shaver of Millingport; son, Clark (Tracy) Shaver of Albemarle; daughter, Natalie Shaver (William) Wagoner of Gold Hill; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Melton "Doc" (Mildred) Smith of Oakboro; brother, Jim (Esther) Smith of Oakboro; sisters-in-law, Vernie Smith of Oakboro, Peggy Smith of Winston Salem, and Margie Culp of Norwood; brother-in-law, Buddy (Judy) Shaver of Maysville, GA.
