Mildred Virtue

Mildred Mae Bohrer Virtue, 92, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, in Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle, NC. Mrs. Virtue was born January 21, 1919, in Camden County, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Jacob Virtue; father, Charles Frederick Bohrer; mother, Florence K. Foster Bohrer; three brothers, and two sisters. The visitation will be 2 – 3 p.m., Sunday, May 8, at Carolina Presbyterian Church, Locust. The funeral service will begin at 3:00. Mr. James Almond will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Barbara Hatley, 20189 Coley Store Road, Locust, NC. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Hatley and husband, Boyd, of Locust; son, Dr. William “Bill” E. Virtue and wife, Bobbi, of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Jerry Blair and wife, Lisa, of Naperville, IL, Nichole Blair of Virginia Beach, VA, Christine Ratledge and husband, Jerry, of Clemmons, and Danielle Virtue of Winston Salem; and 10 great-grandchildren.
