Miles Bracey

Miles Jordan Bracey, age 52, of Oakboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at Hospice of Union County after fighting a long four year courageous illness. Miles was born on February 17, 1961, to the late Conner Hayes Bracey and the late Rebecca Jordan Bracey. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Bracey; a daughter, Brandy Bracey and fiancé Johnathan Townsend of Oakboro; two grandchildren, Mccoy Hartsell and Daylan Bracey; a brother, Conner Bracey of Dillion, SC; and a sister, Cathie Priest of Winston Salem. Miles touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his sense of humor all the way to the end. Miles was a freebird, who was very social and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 5pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his home; 223 West 8th St., Oakboro, NC 28129.
