Minnie Brown, age 91, of 676 Archibald Rd., Concord passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast. Born August 11, 1918 in Wilkes County to the late Cicero Broyhill and Rainey Laws Broyhill. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 1-2 pm. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel Concord on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2 pm with the Rev.Ray Helms officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Survived by: daughters, Zella Barringer and husband Bud of Concord, NC, Sue Shuemate and husband Luther of Moravian Falls, NC, Carolyn Pennell and husband Donnie of Jefferson, NC; sons Edward Pilkenton and wife Rose of Moravian Falls, NC, Millard Pilkenton and wife Linda Faye of Purlear, NC and Junior Pilkenton of Moravian Falls, NC; sisters, Virginia Sweeney of Lenoir, NC, Sue Broyhill of Boomer, NC, and Ethel Smithey of Moravian Falls, NC; brother Gene Broyhill of Darlington, SC. She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Wilkes County, two great-grandsons in Waxhaw, NC, three great-grandsons in Concord, NC, one great-granddaughter in Waxhaw, NC. Grandchildren, R.H. Auman and wife Kim in Concord, NC, Danny Auman and wife Laury in Waxhaw, NC, and Lori Trent and husband Frank in Charlotte, NC.
