Hayden Elizabeth Clontz, 90 years of age, of Indian Trail, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Universal Healthcare in Concord.
"Haydie" was born June 23, 1923 in Union County to the late Hayden Thomas Clontz and Pantha McManus Clontz . She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ned, Gene, and Wright Clontz; and sisters, Merlynn Warren and Sybil Digh.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Donald Lisk. The burial will follow at the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 9015 Ferguson Rd., Charlotte.
She is survived by her nephews, Alton "Chip" Warren and wife Margie of Stony Point, Hayden Clontz and wife Wanda of Indian Trail, Carl Clontz of Charlotte, Jimmy Digh and wife Patty of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Marie Hall of Wilmington, Kay Buchner of Colorado, and Nancy Digh of Atlanta, GA.
