Mitchell Biles

Mitchell "Mickey" Edward Biles Sr., 85 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.
Mickey was born May 10, 1931 in Albemarle to the late Daniel Agustus Biles and the late Emma Lou Biles.
He was also preceded in death by wife of 62 years, Opal Waisner Biles; sister, Carolyn Lewis; and grandson, Will Hudson.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Lefler Memorial Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Donald Ray Johnson and Rev. Steve Barbee. Burial will be at Stanly Gardens in Albemarle. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of daughter, Darlene Hudson.
Survivors include daughter, Darlene Biles (Roger) Hudson of Albemarle; son, Eddie (Carolyn) Biles of Mount Gilead; sister, Frances Wright of Wadesboro; grandson, Matt (Melanie) Hudson of Albemarle; granddaughter, Jennifer (Ashley) Carter of Albemarle; granddaughter, Allison (Jason) Hudson of Charlotte; granddaughter, Summer (Josh) Jolly of Albemarle; granddaughter, Suzanne (Justin) Carter of Albemarle; ten great-grandchildren, Gavin, Cooper, and Brody Hudson, Ava and Henry Carter, Noah, Bronx, and Cash Carter, and Kase and Ila Jolly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
