Nancy Aderhold

Nancy Carol Aderhold, 78 years of age, of Locust, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews.

Mrs. Aderhold was born August 12, 1938 in Rowan County to the late Frank Carson Pethel and Ruth Elizabeth Pethel Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Aderhold.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Carolina Presbyterian Church at 406 Renee Ford Road in Locust. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. David Yoran. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Nancy's passions included love for her family, especially spending time with her grandsons and enjoyment of cooking. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Nancy was a member of Carolina Presbyterian Church for 28 years.

Survivors include daughter, Tonya Foster and husband, Curt of Charlotte; three grandsons, Joshua, Brandon, and Nicholas; sister, Jackie Pethel Barbee of Locust; brother, Oscar Ray Pethel and wife, Bonnie of Locust; and numerous nieces and nephews.
