Nancy Kakuk

Mrs. Nancy J. Kakuk, 81 of 3700 Taylor Glen Lane Concord NC passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 9, 1932 in East Orange, NJ she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Fox) Proctor.

Mrs. Kakuk attended Bethany College, Bethany, WV and graduated with a Psychology degree in 1954.

She and her husband of 56 years the late Edward P Kakuk were married in Verona, New Jersey in 1954. Prior to her move to NC last April, they lived in Augusta, GA, Woodbury, NJ, Bowie, MD and Blue Ridge Summit, PA.

Mrs. Kakuk was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and reading.

She is survived by her brother George Proctor, of North Reddington Beach, FL; two sons Jon Kakuk, Odenton, MD and Mike Kakuk, Grasonville MD; daughter Anne Stark, Concord, NC and four grandsons Tony, Josh, Tommy and Jason.

Burial will be private in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade, MD

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith Street, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036 .
