Nancy Louise Huneycutt Hartsell

Nancy Louise Huneycutt Hartsell, 76, of Locust, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at her home in Locust.

Nancy was born July 27, 1948 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Thaddeus Huneycutt and the late Josie Huneycutt. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Cecil Hartsell.

Nancy was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She had a special love for family and she adored her two sons. She would be referred to as a excellent mother and a wonderful example to her family. In her free time she was found reading books, planting and keeping up her flowers, and spending quality time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Freedom Baptist Church in Locust .The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Freedom Baptist Church in Locust officiated by Rev. Wally Gilmer. Burial will follow at the Freedom Baptist Cemetery at 20015 Coley Store Rd., Locust.

Survivors include sons, Bradley (Karen) Hartsell and Kevin Hartsell; grandsons, Ryan (Jennie) Dutton and Walker Hartsell; granddaughters, Destiny (Matt) Goldt, Athena Hartsell, and Lyla Hartsell; great-granddaughter, Hilary; great-grandsons, Edward, Jacob, and Carter; brothers, Edward (Judy) Huneycutt and Paul (Tana) Huneycutt; and sister, Lorine Osborne.
