Nancy Jane Rochester McClain, 83 years of age, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Brookdale Monroe Square in Monroe.
Mrs. McClain was born June 22, 1931 in Union County to the late Sylvester Van Rowell and the late Nancy Bell Rowell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Nick Rochester, daughter Katherine King, second husband Keith Wilson McClain, brothers, Cecil, Melvin, Norman, Jack, Richard, Samuel, James and Ernest Rowell, and sister, Louise Rowell.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, Monday, April 27, 2015 at Union Grove United Methodist Church, 8708 Indian Trail Fairview Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. The funeral service will follow at the church at 11:00 am officiated by Rev. Bobby Helms and Rev. Bob Sturge. Burial will be in the Friendly Baptist Church Cemetery, 5418 Friendly Baptist Church Road, Indian Trail.
Survivors include daughters, Janet (Bobby) Helms of Monroe, Barbara (Jerry) Howell of Monroe, Marie (Keith) Dean of Durham; son Nick (Doris) Rochester, Jr of Cherryville, and numerous grandchildren.
