Nancy Ottaway

Nancy Ann Nolan Ottaway, 69 years of age, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at her residence in Midland. Mrs. Ottaway was born May 24, 1942 in Mecklenburg County to the late Leroy Conway Nolan and the late Lilly Mae Dixon Nolan. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road in Charlotte. Rev. Tim Lichtley will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the home of her nephew, Kevin Grant, 8809 Chinaberry Lane in Concord. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Clyde Thomas “Tom” Ottaway, of the home; her son, Jeff Naff and his wife, Tina, of Boones Mill, VA; her grandson, Zack Naff; her brother Marvin Nolan of Ohio; and her sisters, Rebecca Grant and Etta Dulin, both of Charlotte. Due to her sister’s illness with Parkinson’s, Nancy’s family requested memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Ottaway family.
