Nancy Spivey

Nancy Ruth Honeycutt Spivey, 79, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Highland House of Fayetteville.

She was born February 15, 1930 in Mecklenburg County to the late Zeb V. Honeycutt and the late Ida Mae Herron Honeycutt. She was retired from Cannon Mills where she worked as a weaver.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 25, from 2 to 3 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin McKinley Spivey, and a son, Carl T. Bennick.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam Wallace and husband Gary of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Lisa Blackmon and husband Jeff of Georgia, and Amanda Booth and fiancé Matthew Naves, Jr. of Concord; and five great-grandchildren, Emma Blackmon, Landry Blackmon, Bryson Wallace, Samantha Booth, and Christopher M. Booth, Jr.
