Nancy Tucker

Nancy Claudette Austin Tucker, 75, of Oakboro, passed on Friday, December 8, 2017.

Nancy was born Monday, July 27, 1942 in Stanly County to the late William Claud Austin and the late Autie Drye Austin.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 7:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dr. Kinney Wallace and Rev. Brian Medlin. The graveside service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 4694 NC Hwy. 205, Oakboro. At other times, the family will be at the home.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Larry Edward Tucker of the home; daughters, Lisa Mullis of Wingate, Raven Tucker of Albemarle; three grandchildren, Jordan Mullis of Oakboro, Alexis Helms of Charlotte, and Jada Smith of Wingate.

Nancy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In her younger years she worked as a hairdresser, and was a seamstress at Cannon Mills. She was a Prayer Warrior for many years. Nancy was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
