Ned Kennedy

Mr. N. Larry Kennedy 68 of 2775 Poole Road Salisbury passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Presbyterian Main in Charlotte. Born on September 18, 1941 in Cabarrus County to the late Delmar Q. Kennedy and the late Bertha Lambert Kennedy. Also preceded in death by brothers James R. "Bud" Lambert and Don E. Lambert. Mr. Kennedy was a truck driver with Holding Brothers, Inc. for 30 years, and Pope & Son of Charlotte for 2 years. He was a former member of The Concord Jaycees. Larry loved all out doors activities, and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Salisbury. The family meeting place will be the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 1:30 until 3:30 PM. Funeral will follow in the Chapel at 4 PM, with the Rev. Gene Sides officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Survived by: wife, Kay Frances Simpson Kennedy of the home; loving daughter, Ginger Kennedy Baker and special son-in-law Danny of Salisbury; his loving grandchildren, Lara and Kayla Baker; brothers, Gene Lambert, and Delmar L. Kennedy both of Concord; sister, Linda K. Beacham of Concord. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church 2300 Bringle Ferry Road Salisbury, NC 28144.
