Ned Smith, Sr.

Ned Lee Smith, Sr., 83, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Novant Health - Mint Hill.

Mr. Smith was born August 15, 1937 in Stanly County to Myrtle McLissie Smith.  He was also preceded in death by sister, Linda Whitley and brother, Wade Smith.

The graveside service will be on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 320 South Central Avenue, Locust, NC officiated by Rev. Wally Gilmer.

Ned is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Hazel Mae Mullis Smith of the home; sons, Rick Smith of Concord and Ned Lee Smith, Jr. of Charlotte; grandson, Dustin Lee Smith of Stanfield; granddaughter, Maranda Eudy of Stanfield; sisters, Jackie Burnette of Stanfield, Libbie Barbee of Albemarle, and Lois Cantrell of Locust; brother, Lewis Mullis of Locust; and great-grandson, Aydn Lee Smith.
