Nelda Faye Furr

Nelda Faye Furr, 85, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

Nelda was born February 24, 1939, in Concord, North Carolina, to the late Ernest Franklin Lambert and the late Lillie Smoot McIntyre Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Furr; grandson, Billy Randell Ryals; brother, Donald Lambert; and sister, Frances Long.

She worked at FieldCrest Cannon for 38 years. She was a member of Broadus Church. She was a very outgoing person and would talk to anyone! Her passion was to watch her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids play sports. She never missed a game! Most of all, she was a loving mom, MawMaw, and friend.

Survivors include son, Randy (Jenny) Furr of Concord, NC; daughter, Kim Ryals of Concord, NC; son, Scott (Robin) Furr of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Brandy Ryals, Jonathan Furr, Cortney (Kevin) Starring, Brittney (Scott) Parrish, Travis (Laura) Furr, Josh (Brianna) Furr; 9 great-grandchildren, Hunter Cornelison, Jackson Starring, Brooks and Wyatt Parrish, Declan Starring, Sophie Parrish, Garrett Furr, Charlotte Furr and Sadie Furr; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, October 21, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at Broadus Church, 59 Green St SW, Concord, officiated by Rev. Dr. J. Rodney Quesenberry. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
