Nelda Mcmanus

Nelda Jean Garmon McManus, 85 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Locust, NC.
Nelda was born July 7, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Ralph Odell Garmon and Ira Cleone Baker Garmon . She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Pete McManus, Sr., in 1996 and her son, John Pete "Joe" McManus, Jr., this year.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Mill Grove United Methodist Church from 2 until 3 pm. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm, officiated by Rev. Arvel Rushing . Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her brother; Brice Garmon and wife, Frances, of Concord.
The family wishes to give sincerest thanks to her great niece, Marcia Hooks, for her loving care, and to all of her close neighbors and many friends, including Delbridge Narron, Martha Koljonen, and Janis Nilsen, for their kindness and support.
