Nellie Hinson Freeman Cruse, 88, of Concord, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Nellie was born June 5, 1928 in Anson County, North Carolina to the late Charles Reuben Hinson and the late Hattie Campbell Hinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Cruse, grandson Paul Anthony Yow, two brothers Grant Hinson and LeRoy Hinson and one sister Jewel Hinson.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The memorial service will begin at 10:00 am in the Chapel, officiated by Rev. Steve Pennington and Rev. Chris Baker. A private burial will be held.
Survivors include daughters, Patricia Freeman McGaha & husband Ed of Concord and Brenda Freeman Yow & husband Paul of Concord; grandchildren, Jeri Yow Corley & husband Michael, John Travis McGaha & wife Elena; great grandchildren Chloe, Claire and Camden Corley and John Colin McGaha; one brother Aaron Hinson & wife Lou of Lilesville, NC.
Nellie retired from the shipping department at Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills and was a member of Roberta Baptist Church.
