Nellie Gray Hagwood

Nellie Gray Hagwood, 91, of Concord, passed away Tuesday November 5th, 2024, at the home of her son in Midland, NC.

Nellie was born July 30, 1933, in Wake County to the late Albert Curtis Carter and Gladys Wright Carter. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, E.C. Hagwood and son, Mike Hagwood.

The funeral service will be held at Pitts Baptist Church, 140 Pitts School Rd., Concord, Tuesday November 12, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., officiated by Pastor Scott Davis The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

She is survived by her son, Lee Hagwood (Penny), daughter, Joyce LaNell Poole (Larry ), granddaughter, Savannah Muhlbauer (Eudore), and grandson, Michael Hagwood (Kamilla). Great grandchildren, Jozef, Lennox, Laverine, and Aspen. Sisters Betty Harrison and Shirley Alford.

Nellie loved her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also had a love for gardening, sewing, crafting, and cooking. She loved being called by her nickname "Momma G". She always looked forward to her Bible study meetings at Multiply Church and listening to Pastor Scott's sermons when she could no longer attend church.
