Nellie Morris

Nellie Marie Breeden Morris 92 of 1217 Union Street Concord, NC passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 7, 1918 in Shenandoah Virginia to the late Grover Cleveland Breeden and the late Elsie Lee Turner Breeden. Also preceded in death by her husband Louis Leon Morris in 2002. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Concord. She served for many years as a Sunday school teacher for the junior high students at Trinity United Church of Christ, and also sang in the choir for many years. A visitation will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 12:30 until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM, with the Rev. Nathan King officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC. Survived by: sons, Louis Leon Morris, Jr. of Norwood, NC, James David Morris of Odenton, MD; daughters, Carolyn Marie Martin of Fayetteville, NC, Betty Jane Foster of Oak Island, NC, Gloria Jean Morris of Raleigh, NC, Mary Lou Younts of Matthews, NC, Joan Burnell Morris of Oak Island, NC; sisters, Aileen Davis of Chatanooga, TN, Hazel Morris of Longs, SC; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; also survived by her beloved Shih Tzu, Bubby Ling.
