Nellie Sasser

Nellie Viola Talbert Sasser, Age 90 passed away on February 23, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on March 16, 1919. She was preceded in death by her her husband Bruce Benton Sasser, father Charlie Monroe Talbert , mother- Cevellia Morton Talbert She was a member of First Baptist Church of Albemarle. She had been employed by Collins and Aikman and Wiscassett Mills. She was a member of the Senior Center and VFW A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 06:00 PM 08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Albemarle with a 30 minute state. Rev. Roger W. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens. Nellie Sasser was survived by her daughter Gwen Hager and husband Fred of Holly Spring NC, her son Stephen Sasser and wife Patricia of Albemarle NC, Grandchildren, Mark Sasser and wife Deb, Lisa Kittle, Matthew Hager and wife Stephanie, Meredith Hager, Great-Grandchildren, Taylor and Colby, brother and sisters, James Talbert of Concord, Lillian Chander and husband John of New London, NC, Charlie Talbert of Indiana, Grace Cagle and husband Bob of Nampa, Ind. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Albemarle or the charity of one’s choice. The family will meet at the home of Stephen Sasser, 16661 A Tyson Rd, Albemarle, NC
