Nelson White

Mr. Nelson Edwin White, 78, of 11500 Beagle Street, Midland, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Avante at Concord. He was born on October 8, 1932 in Mecklenburg County to the late Walden Benton and Hessie McGinnis White. Nelson served in the Navy and was of the Protestant faith. He was the owner and operator of Interstate Trucking Business in Midland. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord in Concord on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Timothy Brown officiating. He is survived by his wife Lucia DeSantis White, of the home; sons, Lawrence White and wife, Janice, of Monroe and Warren White and wife, Bille, of Midland; sisters, Doris Poe, Marie Mumpower, and Nancy Welborn; and four grandchildren.
