Nicholas Joseph Ambrosio, 17, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Nick was born April 3, 2003 in Concord, NC to Joseph James Ambrosio and Jean Ambrosio.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marilyn Dikeman, and grandparents Joseph and Catherine Ambrosio.
Nick leaves behind his loving parents, Joe and Jean; his brother, Michael James Ambrosio; grandfather, Robert Dikeman; close friends Jake and Ryan; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends; and his beloved cat, Saber.
Nick was a senior at Hickory Ridge High School and was recently accepted to UNC Charlotte. He loved to watch and play both basketball and baseball. He was an avid N.Y. Mets and N.Y. Giants fan. Nick loved his cat Saber and his parents called him the "cat whisperer". He enjoyed playing Skyrim and Minecraft, and hanging out with his best friends Jake and Ryan. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and loved his red Dodge Charger. Nick worked at Olive Garden where he didn't especially like the work, but really enjoyed the people he met and worked with. Nick had a very dry sense of humor and sarcastic wit. He was very funny and loved to make people laugh. His friends knew this even though he was quiet when you first met him. Nick was sweet and kind and loved by so many people as well as his family. He will be missed forever.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12115 University City Blvd. Harrisburg, NC 28075. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 19th at St. James The Greater Catholic Church in Concord.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nick's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County, 2010 Wilshire Ct., Concord, NC 28025, www.cabarrushumanesociety.org.
