Nicholas Elkins

Nicholas Aaron Elkins, 26 years old of Concord, North Carolina unexpectedly passed away June 22, 2020.

Nick was born on August 19, 1993 in Macon, Georgia to Edgar Haigh Elkins and Tracy Elkins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Edgar Aaron Elkins and Ann Elkins and maternal grandparents Edward and Betty Carswell.

Nick is survived by his parents Edgar and Tracy Elkins; sister Brooke Nicole Elkins; aunts Patricia Elkins and Penny Shouse.

Nick played basketball throughout his adolescent years and shared several great memories in the Florida Keys doing water activities such as snorkeling and spear fishing with family and close friends. He always had a passion for the automotive industry and strived to follow in his father’s footsteps. Many people knew him by the nicknames of “elkboi” or “wifi.” He loved to laugh with friends and could bring a smile to anyone’s face with his jokester ways. Nick had a huge heart and always believed that family was the most important thing in life.

The family will hold a public viewing at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, North Carolina from 3 - 5 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020. A private gathering will follow at a residence of the family.
