Nick Whitley

Nicky Lane “Nick” Whitley, age 64, of Concord, NC, died suddenly on Saturday, November 5, 2011, South Hill, VA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Aubrey Whitley will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. The family meeting place will be at his home. Mr. Whitley was born on March 2, 1947, in Cabarrus County, to Morris Alexander Whitley and the late Ruby Lee Hagler Whitley. In addition to his father, he is survivied by his wife of 47 years, Rebecca Lynn Porter Whitley of the home; two daughters, Angie Whitley Hartsell and husband, Frankie, of Locust, and Kimberly Whitley Talley and husband, Jerry, of Concord; two brothers, Chris Whitley and wife, Deb, of Batesburg, SC, and Mark Whitley and wife, Karen, of Mooresville, NC; one sister, Penny Whitley Negre and husband, Norman, of Rockwell; five grandchildren, Brittany Hartsell Hatley and husband, Jason, Shannon and Justin Hartsell, and Rebecca and Sarah Grace Talley; two great grandchildren, Peyton Brianne Marlow and Kayden Ruth Hatley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
