Nila Fowler

Nila (Prater) Fowler, age 86, of Albemarle, N.C., died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, N.C. Fowler was employed by Jefferies Mfg. as an inspector and was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. . She was the daughter of the late Wesley Prater and the late Martha Ann Daniels Prater. She is survived by her Five Daughters, Daughter-Shirley (Fowler) Haynes of Knoxville, Tenn. Daughter-Brenda (Fowler) Bolden of New Tazewell, Tenn. Daughter-Charlotte (Fowler) Larson of New Richmond, Wis. Daughter-Vinnia (Fowler) Parker of Albemarle, N.C. Daughter-Anita (Fowler) Carpenter of Albemarle, N.C. Two Sons, Son-Wayne D. Fowler of Gold Hill, N.C. Son-Charles J. "Chuck" Fowler of Albemarle, N.C. Two Sisters, Sister-Bessie Owens of La Follette, Tenn. Sister-Nealie Goins of Tazewell, Tenn. One Brother, Brother-Cecil Prater of Shelbyville, Tenn. Twenty Two grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister Ohma Hensley, brother Silas Prater and grandson Wayne D. Fowler, Jr. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, P. O. Box 7, Albemarle, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2009. Funeral service will be at Highland Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2009 , Rev. Ron Honeycutt officiating. Interment will be at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle, N.C.
