Nora Canup

Nora Elizabeth "Skeet" Aldridge Canup, 93, of 70 Park Drive, Concord, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Monday, November 16, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tom Snipes officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will be meeting at the home.
She was born August 22, 1916 in Cabarrus County to the late Charles David Aldridge and the late Daisy Garver Aldridge. She was a retired supervisor at Hugh Gray Hosiery. She was also employed by Cannon Mills, K&W Cafeteria, and Beverly Hills Elementary School Cafeteria. She was a member of New Hope Worship Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Nelson Sanders; second husband, Henry Canup, Jr.; brothers, Coy Aldridge, Sam Aldridge and Luther Aldridge; and sisters, Lula Aldridge Cline and Lena Aldridge Wood.
Survivors include her brother, Dr. Charles Aldridge of Belmont; her sister, Elsie Aldridge Starnes of Concord; and many nieces and nephews.
