Norman Soucie

Norman Galen Soucie, 76, of Concord, NC, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at Universal Healthcare of Concord. Mr. Soucie was born January 18, 1935, in Millinocket, Maine. He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Paul Soucie, and his mother, Evelyn Mary Levesque Soucie. He worked for Great Northern Paper Company in Maine and then was a manager for Combined Insurance until retirement. The Mass for Mr. Soucie will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Father Dionne officiating. Survivors include his wife, Carol Butler Soucie, of the home; sons, Michael Soucie and wife, Jennifer, of Beaufort, NC, and Mark Soucie and wife, Carol, of Concord; grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, and Christopher of Beaufort, and James and Lauren of Concord; sister, Marylene Brown of Augusta, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Coltrane L.I.F.E. Center Inc., 321 Corban Avenue Southeast, Concord, NC 28025. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is assisting the Soucie family.
